Justice and Peace Group

The Justice and Peace Group operates across the Pastoral Area. Open meetings are held every two months and any interested priests and parishioners of the two parishes can attend.

The group aims to:

• Support and broaden the impact of some activities already established in individual churches, co-ordinating these across the two parishes where possible
• Highlight major issues (local, national and/or international) and lead a response as appropriate

Recent events, organised for the Pastoral Area, have been:

• A series of 3 talks on Catholic Social Teaching
• The sending of Christmas cards to:
  • Parishes in the Holy Land
  • Prisoners of Conscience
